Vatican releases first photos of Pope Leo XIV after lung tumour surgery

The Vatican has unveiled the first photographs of Pope Leo XIV following his recent surgery to remove a lung tumor. The images depict the Pope in good spirits, appearing to recover well from the procedure. In the photos, he is seen engaging with staff and visitors at the Vatican, providing a reassuring presence to the faithful. The surgery, which took place earlier this month, raised concerns about the Pope's health, but these new images aim to alleviate worries among the public and the Catholic community. The Vatican has not disclosed specific details regarding the surgery or the Pope's prognosis, but these initial photos suggest a positive recovery trajectory.
